Google introduced a new voice activated business search service - Goog411. Goog411 is a voice based business search service for which the users has to dial 1-800-GOOG-411 (1-800-4664-411) from any phone and say City, State and Zipcode followed by the business category they are interested. Automated voice response will reply the contact details of the business information. Users can also get the details as a text message and get the location details as a map to their mobile phone and more importantly for free of cost. The service is initially available in US.

Google surprises me every time with such innovative new offerings and initiatives like Google SMS and Goog411 are very good examples for Google’s seriousness in expanding the search engine market to mobiles.
